We were invited to Donna’s Gotcha Day celebration on Sunday!
“Gotcha Day” is a phrase that denotes the anniversary of the day on which a new member joins a family in the adoption process. It is sometimes also called “Homecoming Day”,”Family Day”, or “Adoption Day” – although the date can be different from date on which the legal adoption is made final.‘Gotcha Day’ is often associated with annual rituals or celebrations, much like a birthday. – Taken off Wikipedia
The picnic was held at Lower Peirce Reservoir. It was a really beautiful place and the weather was great for a picnic.
Can’t believe yet another year has gone by! 2014 has been pretty good. We made a lot of new friends, explored tons of places and went to different events. Here’s a look back at our 2014! JanuaryFirst pic of 2014!
Over the weekend, we brought Lycan to go meet up with his furfriends at Happenstance cafe for a little gathering/Christmas lunch! Lexie had to stay at home because she’s in heat and a little feisty so it was safer to leave her at home. We arrived at about 12pm and Toby, Smallie and Tugger were already there. Not long after, Muffin & Pudding arrived followed by SirToby and Yoda & Vader. Humans had their lunch while the dogs went to play. Lycan didn’t get to run around much while we ate because he went around barking at every dog so we kept him by our side till we were free to watch him.
No food pictures because I was too hungry and started digging in before the thought of taking a picture hit me. After everyone was done, it was cake time for the dogs! We ordered two doggie log cakes from The Barkery because it won’t be Christmas without log cakes!
As most of you guys should know by now, my two monsters are on a raw diet. It’s been six months since they’re started and three months since I posted about it so here’s an update!
I can still remember the day we got him, the day before he turned 10 months old. The bf and I were have been discussing about getting a border collie for a while and we saw a post online for a border collie for adoption. Showed the bf the picture attached and bf agreed the dog was a cutie so we decided to give the person a call.
We went down that night to view him and he was A MONSTER. Grabbing at us and trying to mount us. I didn’t really like him at first because he was an annoying cow but the bf liked him so we brought him home the following evening.
We have decided to try baking for the two fur monsters. Everyone is baking and making dehydrated treats for their dogs so we decided to give it a go too because how hard can it get, eh?
