We’ve been wanting to head down to Wheeler’s Yard for quite some time and we finally managed to make time to head there on Tuesday!
If you’re driving, I suggest that you park at the hdb blocks nearby as looking for a parking lot there might take a while. Parking space at Wheeler’s Yard is really limited and the parking lots by the side of the road were mostly taken even though we went on a weekday. There were three dining sections; indoor, where it’s enclosed with air conditioning, the middle area which is under shade without air conditioning. The bikes that are placed there are for sale too!
The third section is the alfresco dining area where we sat as pets were not allowed inside. We don’t really like bringing them along when we head out to eat as most places that we’ve been to are really cramp and we have to keep them very close to us. However, Wheeler’s Yard was an exception as their alfresco area is really spacious so I don’t have to worry too much about them disturbing the customers seated around us.
We were a little late to try their weekday set lunch so I had the mushroom aglio olio while the bf had a chicken burger.
The food wasn’t too bad but we felt it was a little overpriced. Can’t remember how much the burger was but the mushroom aglio was $17.90 compared to the regular $12.90-$15.90. For dessert, we shared a lemon tart. I liked the lemon tart but the bf found it a little too sour.
We got bored after our meals so we ended up taking pictures of the pups and we even got to train their balancing skills!
Summary: We really like it there compared to most restaurants/cafes that we’ve been to with the pups. Food was not bad but price was a little on the high side. Place was spacious but parking was hard to find.
