We saw that our friend, Benji, has been heading to this pretty place called Venus Drive and we had to check it out for ourselves especially if it involves running around!
It’s a trail walk that leads to the HSBC treetop walk. Unfortunately, dogs aren’t allowed on the treetop walk so we just had to make do with where we were allowed.
The trail is right in front of the parking lot so that’s a major plus as we have the tendency to get lost.
I’m not exactly sure how long the trail was but it was definitely shorter than we expected.
We were pretty surprise to see “streams” and the water was really clear. We even saw tiny fishes!
We wanted to let them play in there but we were going to the beach on Sunday and I didn’t want to give them a bath two days in a row.
There were splitting paths further down. The one on the right leads to the treetop walk and the one on the left leads you out. We took the one on the left as we weren’t allowed to bring dogs to the treetop walk.
The lighting was slightly different after we followed the path on the left. It wasn’t so bright and it was kind of lonely as most people headed to the treetop walk, leaving us to walk this route by ourselves.
If you think those “streams” were nice, this was even better! We even saw a decent size catfish in there. Picture is a little blurry as we heard monkeys screaming and I got scared so I snapped and ran.
We were glad that there was a “Leash Your Dogs” sign and we kept them on as there were potential dangers these two can get themselves into.
After an estimated 15-20 minutes walk, we finally reached the exit! There was a huge sense of relief when I saw the exit as I was constantly worried that we’ll get attacked by screaming monkeys.
We were welcomed by the sight of the big open field. If you do not want to explore the trail, you can head over to the big open field straight from the parking lot!
There’s only one thing to do in such a lovely place. Run run and more running!
We kept their leashes on as there were areas that led to the road so it’ll be easier for us to get them.
We really like this place(except for the monkeys) so we’ll definitely be coming back here for walks again.
